We had a great time celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday by wearing our favorite, silly hats while reading HOP ON POP, and the children loved the surprise of HOP ON POPcorn as a special treat. We also participated in Read Across America with reading HOP ON POP! Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2—Dr. Seuss’s birthday. We all enjoy the Dr. Seuss books, and have quite a few of them in our classroom libraries. They are a great resource to teach little ones how to rhyme with silly words and repetition.
